Born in Albion Michigan to the late Rowena and Clifford Jenkins. She is survived by her husband Neil, sister Carole (Bill) Goad, sons David, Steve (Carolina) and Neil (Marze) and one daughter, Karen (Mark) Gratton. Grandchildren included a grandaughter, Laura (Bob) Selinger, grandsons Kevin (Alayna), Aaron, Steven, Keith, Kyle and Kenny. She proudly worked for the Home Economics Dept. of Albion College as the secretary for the faculty and retired after 20 years to move to West Palm Beach, Florida. There she managed the family owned swimming pool company and enjoyed selling pools and supplies to the customers. In her retirement she could be found enjoying day cruises and occasionally cruised to the Bahamas. She enjoyed telling stories of her time with the girl scouts and travelling out west with her troop. Wyoming was a favorite memory of hers and how the mountains were such an incredible sight. She loved animals, but had a special place in her heart for dogs and horses which she was fortunate to have had both in her life. She loved music and took in various Broadway shows while in Florida. In March of 2017 she fell ill and at that time moved to Chattanooga to be near her daughter. She still insisted on her independence and got a little apartment that she was in the process of setting up when she passed away. A private service will be held for the immediate family.
